Premier League Darts Week 4 Preview
Last week we did not improve our tipping record as we hoped. Instead, we completed the impressive feat of getting every single pick wrong. The only way is up… Right?
This week the Premier League rolls into Glasgow, Scotland. The home crowd now have 3 locals to cheer on, with the addition of Peter Wright. You can be assured that the English players will receive their normal unwelcoming reception.
Peter Wright v Adrian Lewis
Lewis went off the boil last week against Wes Newton, while Wright returned to form to beat Phil Taylor for the first time. Wright then struggled through the UK Open Qualifiers during the week. This game could go either way, but we’ll pick Snakebite in front of his home crowd. You can get good odds of 2.75 on Wright too.
Robert Thornton v Wes Newton
Newton overcame an out of sorts Lewis last week, but he still only averaged 94. He needs to get that up towards 100 to be a chance against Thornton. The two played off in the UK Open Qualifiers during the week and Thornton came out on top. Form and home crowd advantage say that The Thorn should win this one.
